What is outnumbering you today?
What makes you feel overwhelmed today -- most days?
I'd love to hear! I want my blog to be a place of inspiration and encouragement, so let me know what encouragement you need.
Those of you who follow may have noticed that I haven't posted in a few days, and I haven't been able to visit and comment, either.
The home computer has been struck with an especially nasty virus. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy!!
We hope to get it all back to normal in the next couple of days, but I wanted to let you know I'm still here. You may have noticed my newsletter didn't go out yesterday either -- again, because of my poor sickly computer.
As I've said before, we can't do this mothering thing alone -- we moms need each other! So let me know what you need help and encouragement with.
Mom meltdowns occur all along the way on this journey. A mom is always a mom -- whether her boy is a senior in high school or her daughter is a babe in arms. My newsletter, which goes out each Monday, deals specifically with topics many moms feel outnumbered by. You may have read Outnumbered by Self-Doubt, a reprint of my newsletter, but I've tackled other topics like:
Outnumbered by...my kids
Outnumbered by...the holidays
Outnumbered by...stuff, stuff, everywhere
Outnumbered by...the past
Outnumbered by...my worries
So, leave a comment and let me know what's outnumbering you today.
Wherever you find yourself in this mothering journey, I'm praying for, writing for, and thinking of you today, moms!

Health
Extended family woes
Being just plain tired
Financial concerns
Toddler Tantrums!!!
I hope your computer straightens up and I hope you have a great week.
Thanks, ladies! I'll be writing for YOU.
The rest of you, come chime in!
I get outnumbered by overcommitment and thinking I can do it all. Even with the kids now gone, I still slip into that mode all too often.
Today I am overwhelmed by:
Separation Anxiety-both mine & his! lol
Finances
Weaning
Lil man's sleeping habits
I'm a new follower!
I hope you're computer is rested and recovered from that virus!
Over 25 years of motherhood, I have felt outnumbered by:
-- Outside forces out to get my child in some way, to lead him astray, to plant doubts in his mind. Finding the balance between wanting to close our home off from "the world" to teaching them how to live in the world but not be of it.
-- My own flaws -- impatience, selfishness, etc.
-- Distractions, often harmless in themselves, but distracting nonetheless.
-- Ministry opportunities. I do think it is important for Christians to minister to others outside our own four walls, but especially when my kids were younger, I had to keep reminding myself that they were my primary ministry.
-- Limitations. 15 years ago I was hit by a spinal virus which impacted all our lives.
There are probably more -- if any come to mind I'll come back and list them.
The answer to all of these is God's grace in some way. I am thankful to testify that He does give wisdom and grace for every problem or situation, and I am reminded I need to convey that more to younger moms. I know that they probably know that to some degree, as I did, but it does help when someone who has walked the same path can encourage in those specific ways.
I'm "outnumbered" by all the things I want to do and the pull on my time! Sometimes I get outnumbered by "people" and their needs. I have no children at home either, but we mothers and grandmothers also can sometimes feel outnumbered. Thanks for your wonderful posts,Laura. Love to you Clella
