I got to hold such a sweet little one today. He has no idea how blessed he already is.
He had a birth mom whose one desire is that he would know she knows Christ. He has a life mom and dad who have poured themselves out over and over again – mentoring a young disadvantaged man, taking in three brothers and becoming foster parents overnight. They’ve lived a life of giving and last week, they got the sweetest gift.
We sat and fed him and burped him and oohed and aahed over him. I was happy she got a son so I could share my book with her. We looked at all his sweet fingers and toes, pulled out all the cute clothes waiting for him.
It was a wonderful afternoon.
I left with such a feeling of fullness and joy, and I know this couple is filled to the brim with the same.
When we come to the Father, how much more does He joy over us.
"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!" (I John 3:1)

Laura,
It always amazes me how a newborn is already loved by so many. How brave of the birth mother. How exciting for the life parents. How I want to reach through the screen and hold that little baby!
wow, what a blessing. New life. so precious.
Simply beautiful -- this new life. I will breathe in the newness and hope with you!
Awwwww, what a blessing for that new mama and papa! :) (And for you getting some precious new baby squeezes!)
This brought tears.
This brought back so many precious memories...of loved babies and loved birth moms...and a gift of life and love and a home where God is honored...it all just fills my heart.
Love how you described this little scenario and all the bountiful love. So sweet.
Beautiful post...beautiful babe!
Blessings!
It has been awhile since I got to hold a newborn. Now I must find one . . .
Fondly,
Glenda
Such beautiful mind pictures you painted. A blessed baby before he knows the word blessed!
