When I saw this sticker, I had to laugh. Because that's exactly what my second-born son did - put banana stickers on his face.
We'd roll through the produce section of the grocery store, and I'd choose bananas. Then it began. He begged for the stickers.
He was my tactile child. Any sticker I gave as a reward, he played with. Stuck them on his forehead, his nose, played with them between his fingers.
At the grocery store, we'd go through the checkout with him sitting in the front, with three banana stickers on his face and a few on his fingers. Adorned with one on his forehead and one on each cheek, he'd smile at the cashier around the thumb in his mouth.
I couldn't resist sharing the memory...
Is there a sight that always brings a smile--and a memory--back, for you?

That's a precious story. Thank you for sharing.
oh that's so cute! my oldest daughter just "had" to have those smiley stickers they used to give out at walmart, back when i shopped there...we even have a pic of her in a family room collage with one of those on her nose! and she used to go around saying "dont worry, be happy" with those on her cheeks, nose....so funny!
I've never seen these. Too cute! :O)
So...did YOU put the sticker on YOUR forehead? And smile? :-)
That's cute. My husband worked for Chiquita for 17 years and we were stationed in Central America and Africa. Have to admit...I hadn't seen this sticker yet!

Ha, that's great! I'll look at banana stickers differently now!
What a sweet, sweet memory Laura! My kids always gravitate toward the twist ties in the produce section. They run around grabbing them off all the dispensers until they have a big bunch in their fist (or until I cut them off), and then I find them all over the mini-van and my house for days afterward. I guess this is the thing that *might* turn into a sweet memory...or maybe not! ;)
Laura,
My kids stick banana stickers all over them!
My favorite grocery store memory. Breaking into the Bugles bag before my mom noticed and puttling one Bugle on each hand and pretending I was a witch, cackle and all.
